Existence of forests is very important as life support systems for human as well as other living things in the world. Managing forest sustainably, especially the richest biodiversity tropical forest, is then a must to support the existence of life in the planet of earth.
Increasing of human population and development of industries changed the landscapes and global climate. Conversion of forest lands including tropical forests into other land uses is unable to avoid for fulfilling the livelihood of the growing fast human population. Unfortunately, deforestation is also causing the increasing of carbon emission that led to global climate change.
Managing tropical forest sustainably then becomes an important task that must be faced by forest managers, forest regulators, and the community including academicians and scientists. The changing of landscape and global climate that caused various disasters will not stop if there are no global attempts and collaborations among all stakeholders.
